How to easily put adverts on the genesis framework
theme for wordpress blogs.
The Genesis theme or as commonly known - The
Genesis framework is undoubtedly one of the most
complex themes for wordpress. This theme cannot be
found on the official wordpress repository, but can be
purchased from the developer s website. It comes in
a large zip folder which clearly shows that it contains
a lot more tools and functions than any other regular
theme.. hence the tag "Framework".
Okay, enough of the intro, let us go into the guide
proper.
Add Google Adsense Banner and Leaderboard Adverts To Genesis Framework
This guide will show you how to place any add or
banner below the menu on the Genesis framework.
Step 1: Download "Simple Genesis hooks". (You can
do a search for it on the developers website or in the
wordpress repo.)
Step 2: Install the plugin, then head to the wordpress
admin area.
Step 3: Navigate to Genesis -> Simple Hooks, then
scroll down to the section marked "Content".
Step 4: Find the box labelled as genesis_before_
content_sidebar_wrap Hook

Copy and paste this code into the input box.

Step 6: Now, replace "YOUR ADSENSE BANNER
CODE" with whatever you wish to display below
your theme menu. Then replace "#ffffff" with
whatever color you wish to use as background color
(#ffffff means white). It could be affiliate links or
leaderboard ads or adsense banner ads.
This theme can be used on Genesis child themes as
well as Thesis themes.
